Describes the mounting characteristics of accelerometers to be specified by the manufacturer and gives recommendations to the user for the mounting of accelerometers. It applies to accelerometers which are mounted on the surface of structures in motion. It is not applicable to other types of accelerometers, such as relative motion pick-ups.
