Protective clothing for use in welding and allied processes (ISO 11611:2007); German version EN ISO 11611:2007 (Foreign Standard)

This International / European Standard specifies minimum basic safety requirements and test methods for protective clothing for operators to be worn during welding and allied processes with comparable risks. This type of protective clothing is intended to protect the wearer against spatter (small splashes of molten metal), short contact time with flame, radiant heat, ultra violet (UV) radiation from the arc, and to provide certain electrical insulation (see clause 8.2c). It shall be classified according to the risk assessment and the degree of protection required against flames, spatter, radiant heat, UV radiation.
