SAE J1939-2 specifies the requirements for application of SAE J1939 in agricultural and forestry equipment. This document specifies the series of documents within the set of SAE J1939 documents that are applicable to agricultural and forestry equipment and provides further requirements for this industry. The SAE and ISO groups have cooperated to define agricultural and forestry networks in a manner to allow compatibility of ECUs and messaging protocols between the A&F and the T&B networks.

This SAE Standard defines the requirements for a plug and receptacle used in an auxiliary starting system. The connector facilitates the application of supplemental electrical power for starting or charging a machine from another machine or suitable external source. This system provides: proper polarity during connector mating, secure electrical connections, and standard circuit color coding. This document establishes the connector interface dimensions and performance requirements for the electrical plug and receptacle system and its component parts.

Specifies an electrical connector and its pin layout for mounting on an agricultural tractor with a nominal 12-volt battery supply for the purpose of providing an interface between tractor-mounted sensors and equipment requiring signals from those sensors. Provides therefore a short-term solution to date communication between a restricted set of tractor-mounted sensors and other systems on agricultural tractors and attached machinery, in anticipation of the availability of a standardized digital data bus system.

Agricultural and forestry machinery - Electromagnetic compatibility - Test methods and acceptance criteria
This International Standard specifies test methods and acceptance criteria for evaluating the electromagnetic compatibility of tractors and all kinds of mobile (including hand-held) agricultural machinery, forestry machinery, landscaping and gardening machinery [referred to hereafter as machine(s)] as supplied by the machine manufacturer. It is applicable to machines and electrical/electronic sub-assemblies (ESA's) which are manufactured after the date of publication of this International Standard. Electrical/electronic components or sub-assemblies intended for fitting in machines are also within the scope of this standard, except regarding immunity for those parts whose functions are not involved in the direct control and modification of the state of the functions of the machine. This International Standard is not applicable to machines directly supplied with low voltage current from public electrical mains. Exceptions to machines or electrical/electronic systems or ESA's that may not require testing in accordance with this International Standard are given in clause 7.
