Screw Conveyor Standards

Screw conveyor standards include the recommended dimensional values for screw conveyors, their components, and associated parts. Additionally, screw conveyor standards include the design rules for drive power of the rotating screw, as well as the safety code for the associated hazards, particular attention being paid to the shearing or trapping points between the fixed and moving parts of the screw conveyor.

ANSI/CEMA 350-2021

Screw Conveyors for Bulk Materials

ANSI/CEMA Standard No. 350 is a book of accepted engineering and application practice as compiled by engineers of leading screw conveyor manufacturing companies based on the experience of many years. Includes ANSI/CEMA 300-2021 and CEMA 352-2018.

ANSI/CEMA 300-2021

Screw Conveyor Dimensional Standards

Includes a series of recommended dimensional standards for major screw conveyor components. Standards 300-001, 300-020, 300-021, and 300-022 all were revised and modified.

ISO 1050:1975

Continuous mechanical handling equipment for loose bulk materials - Screw conveyors

Lays down the recommended values of the main dimensions of the screw conveyor's elements.

ISO 7119:1981

Continuous mechanical handling equipment for loose bulk materials - Screw conveyors - Design rules for drive power

Establishes a method for the calculation of drive power of screw conveyors. Applies only to a screw conveyor used in a horizontal or inclined position for a regular, controlled and continuous supply of the bulk materials, excluding the special screws for the following uses: extracting, calibrating, mixing, moistening, inclined (above 20 ) and vertical screws.

ISO/TR 9172:1987

Continuous mechanical handling equipment - Safety code for screw conveyors - Examples of guards for trapping and shearing points

Gives examples of the kinds of hazards associated with screw conveyors at danger points, in particular trapping and shearing points located between the moving screw and the fixed parts of the conveyor or surrounding structures. Describes different safety devices, illustrated by examples of design sheets, capable of meeting the general safety requirements.
