ISO 3506-3:2009 specifies the mechanical properties of set screws and similar fasteners not under tensile stress made of austenitic stainless steel, when tested over an ambient temperature range of 10 °C to 35 °C. Properties vary at higher or lower temperatures. ISO 3506-3:2009 applies to set screws and similar fasteners: - with nominal thread diameter 1,6 mm d 24 mm; - of triangular ISO metric threads with diameters and pitches in accordance with ISO 68-1, ISO 261 and ISO 262; - of any shape. It does not apply to screws with special properties, such as weldability.
This second edition cancals and replaces the first edition (1973). Establishes the dimensions and charakteristics of seamless and welded steel tubes for separate series as follows: heavy series, medium series, ligth series 1. ligth series 2. Tabulates dimensions for DN 6 up to and including DN 150 as well as tolerances on the outside diameter.
Specifies the dimensions and characteristics of seamless and welded austenitic steel tubes with dimensions corresponding to the medium series of ISO 65. Tabulates nominal sizes from DN 6 up to and including DN 150. The informative annex A contains the bibliography.
ISO 898-5:2012 specifies mechanical and physical properties of set screws and similar threaded fasteners made of carbon steel or alloy steel when tested at an ambient temperature range of 10 °C to 35 °C. Fasteners (the term used when set screws and similar threaded fasteners are considered all together) which conform to the requirements of ISO 898-5:2012 are evaluated at that ambient temperature range. Fasteners according to ISO 898-5:2012 are classified to specified hardness classes and are intended for use under compressive stress only. ISO 898-5:2012 is applicable to set screws and similar fasteners: made of carbon steel or alloy steel, having a triangular ISO metric screw thread according to ISO 68-1, with a coarse pitch thread M1,6 to M30, and fine pitch thread M8×1 to M30×2, with diameter/pitch combinations according to ISO 261 and ISO 262, and having thread tolerances according to ISO 965-1 and ISO 965-2.
