This standard covers the safety requirements for manufacturing systems/cells that incorporate industrial machines (e.g., machine tools) and related machines and manufacturing systemslcells) from the stand- equipment linked by a material handling system and operated by a programmable electronic system capable of being reprogrammed for the manufacturing of discrete parts or assemblies.
