Guideline to Mitigate Hazards for Small Pressure Relief Valves that Fail to Open at Set Pressure (Cracking Pressures Less Than 100 PSI) - 1st Edition (Formerly TB-24)
This publication describes the tendency for some small, spring-loaded PRVs commonly used in piping systems to operate outside their prescribed start-to-discharge pressure range due to cold vulcanization of the seat seal. This publication provides recommendations to mitigate this phenomenon.
