CGA C-29-2019 (formerly TB-25)

Standard for Design Requirements for Tube Trailers and Tube Modules (Formerly TB-25)

Formerly TB-25. This standard defines basic design requirements for tube trailers and tube modules, manufactured or modified on or after May 11, 2009, to maintain structural integrity during normal conditions of handling and transport. A tube trailer or tube module manufactured in accordance with standard is less likely to have a separation of the tubes from the trailer or bundle or an unintentional release of product when subjected to the multidirectional forces that can occur in a highway collision including a rollover accident. Tube modules shall meet the loading and accident protection standards that are applied to tube trailers. This standard does not address multiple-element gas containers (MEGCs). The design requirements for a MEGC are found in Title 49 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR) Part 178.75.
