Skimmers (spas, hot tubs and swimming pools)
This standard covers dimensions, testing methods and other significant properties in addition to general description of the final products, together with methods of marking and identification. The provision of this standard are not intended to prevent the use of any alternate material or method of construction provided any such alternate meets the intent of this standard. Skimmers are used for both public and residential pools, spas, or hot tubs. Recommended procedures for installation and operation of skimmers on public and residential pools, spas, or hot tubs shall be included in the installation instructions. Skimmers shall be designed and installed so as to prevent body entrapment as described in Section 3.2
