Earth-moving machinery - Basic types - Vocabulary

This International Standard establishes the hierarchy, terminology and definitions of earth-moving machinery designed to perform the following operations: excavating, loading, transporting, spreading and compacting of earth and other materials, for example during work on roads and dams, trenching and on building sites.
