NACE Standard SP0590-2015

Prevention, Detection, and Correction of Deaerator Cracking

This standard is a source of information on dearator cracking and is intended to be used by operators and designers of dearator equipment used in steam generation. This information is based on studies of carbon steel units. Included are several figures illustrating feedwater dearators, mechnical dearators, and samples of surveys sent to initially collect the data, along with tables detailing oxygen removal equipment. This standard is maintained by Task Group 244.
