Conveyor belts for use in underground installations - Electrical and flammability safety requirements
This European standard specifies electrical and fire safety requirements for conveyor belts for use underground in flammable and non-flammable atmosphere. Conveyor belts, which fall under this European standard, and are intended for the for use in flammable atmospheres, are intended for use in conveying systems (machines in mines). The conveyor belt is a part of the conveyor, which I, category M2 is an equipment group, as defined in EN 13463-1:2009, 3.2.2. This European standard does not apply to the light conveyor belts as described in EN ISO 21183-1:2006 not for conveyor belts, which were manufactured before the date of publication of this document by CEN.
