Steel cord conveyor belts - Part 3: Special safety requirements for belts for use in underground installations (ISO 15236-3:2017)
This document defines the performance and design requirements for conveyor belts for underground use, which have a reinforcement of steel ropes in the longitudinal direction. The design and construction requirements relate both to the design of the individual belt and to a whole series of types. Series of this type are described in ISO 15236-2. Steel rope conveyor belts in accordance with this document are intended for underground use in coal mines and other applications where the highest safety requirements against fire and explosion hazards are to be met.
