Gas welding equipment - Safety devices - Part 1: Devices incorporating a flame (flashback) arrestor (ISO 5175-1:2017)
This document contains the General requirements and tests for safety equipment for flammable gases and oxygen or compressed air with integrated flame barrier, downstream side from the main site, bottles - or line pressure regulator and anstrOmen-side torches for welding, cutting and Allied processes are applied. This document does not provide details about the arrangement of facilities in the gas system. This document does not apply to safety devices, which contain no built-in flame arrester. These are covered by ISO 5175-2. This document does not apply to the use of safety devices with integrated flame lock gas supply systems for, applications premixed oxygen fuel gas or air/fuel mixtures, such as downstream side of gas mixers or Gas generators for the production of hydrogen/oxygen mixtures by electrolytic decomposition of water.
