Methods of Nuclear Material Control - Measurement Control Program - Nondestructive Assay

This standard applies to NDA techniques for the measurement of nuclear materials. The guidelines given in this document for the establishment and operation of an NDA MCP may be appropriate for other types of quality programs; however, the recommended techniques are designed specifically for NDA measurement of nuclear materials. An MCP comprises the administrative and technical elements necessary to provide measurement results in accordance with specified requirements. The results from the NDA measurements are broadly applied for the purposes of: nuclear material control and accounting, nuclear criticality safety, security and safeguards, operations, transportation, waste management, radiological protection, facility characterization,safety analysis and licensing, decommissioning, and/or similar activities.
