ANSI's Joe Bhatia to Highlight Standardization as Driver of U.S. Competitiveness in State of the Defense Standardization Program Keynote

ANSI's president and CEO S. Joe Bhatia, will deliver a keynote address at the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) State of the Defense Standardization Program Virtual Conference on October 14, 2020, highlighting standardization as a driver of innovation and U.S. competitiveness.

The two-day conference, to be held October 13-14, is open to all standardization stakeholders and will include education, information sharing, and networking opportunities. Sessions will feature DoD standardization updates, information on digital autonomy standards, additive manufacturing, and more.

Mr. Bhatia will discuss how standardization collaboratives, including ANSI's Unmanned Aircraft Systems Standardization Collaborative (UASSC), promote U.S. leadership in critical and emerging technologies, in addition to highlighting activities underway in rapidly-expanding areas such as 5G and artificial intelligence. China’s involvement in international standards-setting will also be among the topics to be addressed.
