Join hundreds of ANSI members, stakeholders, and expert guests during World Standards Week, to be held October 25-29, 2021. Gain insights on the latest in standardization, including copyright and Incorporation By Reference (IBR); standards as digital data; federal engagement in emerging technology standards; best practices and methodologies for measuring the impact of standards on health and safety; and developments geared for young and emerging professionals in electrotechnology industries.

- During the Annual Business Meeting on October 27, join president and CEO Joe Bhatia and Board chair Phil Piqueira for presentations highlighting the Institute's accomplishments, priorities, and vision for the future, with opportunities for Q&A.
- On October 28, ANSI will host a special event, Measuring the Impact of Voluntary Standards on Human Health and Safety, in partnership with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The workshop will launch an important exploration of methods to quantify the health and safety impacts of voluntary consensus standards. Dr. Laurie Locascio, vice president for research at the University of Maryland and President Biden’s nominee for the next director of NIST, will provide the keynote address.

In light of the virtual experience, ANSI will be offering several features in the “Networking” section of the virtual WSW Event Lobby. In addition to group and session-level chats, participants will have the option to invite other attendees to a video chat —a great opportunity for 1:1 meet-ups or to catch up with a group. Up to 20 people can be brought into any one video chat session.
