People on the Move

6/14/2019

People on the Move highlights the career advancements of high-level trailblazers working professionally in diverse areas of standardization, contributing every day to the strength and success of the U.S. standards and conformance community.

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is pleased to announce that Jana Zabinski has been promoted to the role of director, communications and public relations. Ms. Zabinski succeeds Susanah Doucet, who has relocated to Asheville, NC, and will continue working with ANSI in a remote capacity as associate director, digital content and communications.

Previously, Ms. Zabinski was the associate director of operations for ANSI's affiliate organization Workcred. In this position, she spearheaded Workcred's communication efforts and partnered with leadership and staff to define and execute the strategic plan, advancing activities that support the organization's mission, vision, and goals. Prior to that, Ms. Zabinski led the ANSI Energy Efficiency Standardization Coordination Collaborative (EESCC) to develop a national standardization roadmap and progress report advancing energy efficiency in the United States. Ms. Zabinski's first role in ANSI was in the communications department, where she served as journalist and communications specialist.

"We are thrilled to welcome Jana back to ANSI's communications department," said S. Joe Bhatia, ANSI president and CEO. "Her experience in multiple areas of the Institute and knowledge of ANSI and its constituents give her a unique background and perspective that will be an invaluable asset to ANSI's communications and public relations initiatives."
