The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), a member and audited designator of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has named Nicolas Bouvier as director of its R&T’s Supply Chain Services (SCS). Mr. Bouvier has over 20 years of experience operating inspection management programs in more than 30 countries worldwide.

Previously at TUV Rheinland Group, he spent the past 10 years based in Hong Kong in various roles including Greater China inspection services general manager, global inspection services director, and most recently, innovation manager. In these various capacities, Mr. Bouvier has structured global services as a supply chain partner, set up regional hubs, developed global pricing schemes and services, recruited and built teams, and supervised nearly one million inspections and audits. He is a project management professional (PMP) and certified supply chain professional (CSCP) with a master of business administration degree from the University of South Australia.

“We are thrilled to bring Nicolas’ wealth of hands-on experience and specialized knowledge to IAPMO’s Supply Chain Services,” said IAPMO's chief technical services officer Tom Palkon. “Existing and prospective clients will quickly appreciate his dynamic leadership as they seek a partner in better management of their supply chain concerns. An even more savvy and responsive SCS team represents a strong complement to The IAPMO Group’s long-standing, highly regarded global testing and certification services.”

VITA, an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has appointed Dean Holman as its vice president and assistant executive director.

Mr. Holman has contributed to VITA for many years, beginning in 2004 when he was the technical editor of the VITA 46 working group. In 2011, he became a member of the board of directors and chairman of VITA’s standards organization, where he leads the bi-monthly standards meetings and guides the working groups through the standards development process. Prior to joining VITA, Mr. Holman was with Mercury Systems for nearly 25 years, where he most recently served as the senior director of global mission assurance. He holds a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Northeastern University.

"I am honored and extremely excited to be taking on the role of VP and assistant executive director at VITA," said Mr. Holman. “This new role will allow me to leverage over three decades of leadership in the aerospace and defense industry to advance the development, publication, and adoption of next generation leading edge standards. I am pleased to be able to apply my experience building international teams, driving process/quality improvements, and ensuring customer success to help VITA continue leading the industry in producing open interoperability standards to enable future system designs.”
