Ms. Geitgey has almost 20 years of experience in areas including managing talent and resources for higher education, sports, professional services, and nonprofit organizations. She has also held leadership positions with RATIO, the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership, and the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association).

"Melissa brings to CEDIA, our members, and the industry a passion for creative strategic marketing communications that have measurable impact," said CEDIA interim co-chief executive officer Giles Sutton. "We look forward to leveraging her talents to enhance the experiences industry integrators, manufacturers, and distributors have with our brand."

The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has appointed Jennifer Jaques as its director of membership. In this newly created position, Ms. Jaques will lead and manage all IES functions related to membership services, including implementing strategies to provide exceptional member service and increase membership through recruitment and retention.

Ms. Jaques has been a member of IES and the lighting community for over 20 years, serving as the section president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, education chair, and advisor to the Board of Managers for the Austin, Texas section of the Society. She also served as the District 4 chair and vice-chair for the sections of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mexico, New Mexico, and Oklahoma; she was then elected to serve two terms as south regional director on the IES Board of Directors. Ms. Jaques founded Lighting Application Sciences, LLC, in 2000, providing lighting manufacturers, sales representatives, and other stakeholders with high-quality photometric calculation and rendering services.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Jennifer in her various roles as a volunteer on the IES Board of Directors,” said Tim Licitra, IES executive director, “and I now have the privilege of working with her in a much closer capacity as part of our membership team. The future of the IES is bright, and I am very excited for what is to come with Jennifer as our newest addition.”
