This standard specifies the minimum safety requirements for single-patient hemodialysis, hemodiafiltration and hemofiltration equipment. These devices are intended for use either by medical staff or under the supervision of medical expertise, including hemodialysis, hemodiafiltration and hemofiltration equipment operated by the patient.
