Standard Test Method for Hydrostatic Infiltration Testing of Vitrified Clay Pipe Lines

1.1This test method defines procedures for hydrostatic infiltration testing of new installations of vitrified clay pipe lines, to demonstrate the structural integrity of the installed line. Refer to Practice C12.

1.2This test method is suitable for testing gravity-flow pipe lines constructed of vitrified clay pipe or combinations of clay pipe and other pipe materials.

1.3This test method is applicable to the testing of the pipe lines only. Manholes or other structures should be tested separately.

1.4The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
