CGA S-1.1 is the definitive standard for the selection of the correct pressure relief device that is required to meet the requirements of the U.S. DOT in 49 CFR for over 150 gases. It provides guidance on when a pressure relief device can be optionally omitted, and when the use of a pressure relief device is prohibited.
