Safety of toys - Part 5: Chemical toys (sets) other than experimental sets; German version EN 71-5:1993/A2:2009 (Foreign Standard)
EN 71-5 specifies requirements for the substances and materials used in chemical toys (sets) other than experimental sets. Amendment A2 contains the following changes to EN 71-5:1993: 1) Replacement of the carcinogenic and toxic for reproduction substances from table 1 to 15 with safer alternatives; 2) Updating of the classifications; 3) Updating of the normative references; 4) Addition of requirements for BTX in oven hardening plasticized PVC modelling clay sets and plastic moulding sets (polystyrene granules).
