Shower Enclosures and Shower Panels
1.1 This Standard covers shower panels, enclosures for showers and tub/shower combinations, and floor-mounted showers intended for new and retrofit applications. Note: In this Standard, enclosures for showers and tub/shower combinations are referred to as "enclosures". 1.2 This Standard specifies requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance tests, and markings. 1.3 Shower panels and shower enclosures covered by this Standard can include (a) factory-installed supply and waste fittings; (b) factory-formed or factory-plumbed shower thresholds; and (c) factory-plumbed shower doors. 1.4 This Standard also covers enclosures for showers and tub/shower combinations that are not provided with supply or waste fittings.
