NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, 2016 edition

1.1* Scope. This standard shall define the minimum requirements for the design, performance, and testing of new automotive ambulances used for out-of-hospital medical care and patient transport. A.1.1 The term new as applied in this standard is intended to refer to the original construction of an ambulance using all new materials and parts.
