This document contains the general description of test specimen geometries with the aim of benchmarking, together with quantitative and qualitative measurements to be made on the benchmarking test specimen(s) to assess the performance of additive manufacturing systems (AM systems). This performance assessment can serve the following two purposes: - the capability assessment of the AM system; - calibration of the AM system. The main purpose of the benchmarking test specimen(s) is the quantitative assessment of the geometric performance of an AM system. The document describes a set of test geometries, each designed to examine one or more performance metrics, and several sample configurations of these geometries in the test specimen(s). It prescribes the quantities and qualities of the test geometries to be measured, but does not prescribe any specific measurement methods.
