Deposit Account
What is a Deposit Account?
The eSS focuses on single copy sales of standards. Thousands of documents - American
National Standards, ISO and IEC, regional and foreign texts, and more -
are available for purchase and immediate download.*
A Deposit Account will enable customers to purchase
individual copies* of electronic documents at any time, but will not require
use of a credit card to complete the transaction. The Deposit Account option was
established in direct response to customer requests for alternate methods of
payment via the eSS.
*NOTE: All standards available
via the ANSI eStandards Store (eSS) are available for purchase
through the Deposit Account option except the ANSI T1 (telecommunications)
standards developed by the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions
(ATIS). The ANSI T1 standards may still
be purchased individually by credit card via the eSS.
Terms and Conditions
All sales via the eSS Deposit Account option are subject
to the terms and conditions in the
Deposit Account License Agreement.
An initial deposit of $200 is required to establish a deposit account.
Security
Online transactions will be processed via the same
secure server used to process credit cards via the eSS. When a Deposit Account is established ANSI
will provide a single password to the deposit account owner. Multiple authorized users within your
organization may share this password.Responsibility for designation of authorized users resides with the
deposit account owner.
Tracking
The Deposit Account owner will be able to view the
running account balance online. A purchase history will be available via the ANSI Customer Services.
