GISC, the Glazing Industry Secretariat Committee, is a nonprofit organization founded in Topeka, Kansas. It has a sole purpose of overseeing the activities of the Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) for the continuation and development of ANSI Z97.1. ANSI Z97.1 is a voluntary safety standard for glazing in buildings. The ASC is comprised of various members ranging from public interest, product users, and producers and suppliers.
