This specification establishes the requirements for systems which keep transparent areas, on aircraft surfaces (windshields and canopies), clear of ice, frost, fog, rain, salt, snow, insects, dust, gun gas residue and grease. These systems are inherent to the aircraft, but can be ground applied.
