Methods of testing flat glass for use in buildings; ball drop test on laminated glass (FOREIGN STANDARD)

This standard specifies a ball drop test for flat laminated glass for use in buildings. The test is also applicable for multiple sheets compositions with laminated glass. The purpose of this ball drop test is to determine the behaviour of those glazing materials under impact from a small solid body. A hardened steel ball with a mass of approximately 1030 g is used as impactor.This ball drop test shall be applied for prescribing the impact properties and for the quality assurance of those glazing materials for use in buildings.
