Thermal insulating products for building applications - Determination of shear behaviour (Foreign Standard)

The equipment and methods described do not determine the pure shear performance but measure the effect of applying two opposite parallel forces tangentially to the major surfaces of the test specimen. This represents more closely the stresses imposed upon thermal insulation products in many building applications, particularly walls, than other methods of measuring shear performance e.g. bending test.
