Eurocode 1: Actions on structures - Part 1-4: General actions - Wind actions; German version EN 1991-1-4:2005 + A1:2010 + AC:2010
EN 1991-1-4 gives guidance on the determination of natural wind actions for the structural design of building and civil engineering works for each of the loaded areas under consideration. This includes the whole structure or parts of the structure or elements attached to the structure, e. g. components, cladding units and their fixings, safety and noise barriers. This Part is applicable to: - Buildings and civil engineering works with heights up to 200 m. See also (11); - Bridges having no span greater than 200 m, provided that they satisfy the criteria for dynamic response, see (11) and 8.2.*The standard contains the German version of EN 1991-1-4:2005, which has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 250 "Structural Eurocodes" (secretariat: BSI, United Kingdom), which has been modified by Amendment A1:2010 and has been published as a consolidated version. On the national level, the responsible Working Committee is NA 005-51-02 AA "Einwirkungen auf Bauten (Sp CEN/TC 250/SC 1)" ("Actions on structures (Sp CEN/TC 250/SC 1)") of the Building and Civil Engineering Standards Committee (NaBau). This document contains Amendment 1, which has been approved by CEN on 18 February 2010. The start and finish of text introduced or altered by amendment is indicated in the text by tags. With respect to DIN EN 1991-1-4:2005-07, the following changes have been made: a) additional clauses have been added to the list of national options; b) the subclauses 7.2.3(2), 7.2.3(4), 7.2.4(1), 7.2.4(3), 7.2.5(1), 7.2.5(3), 7.2.6(1), 7.2.6(3), 7.2.7(4) and 7.9.2(2) have been replaced by new subclauses; c) subclause 7.2.3(5) has been deleted ; d) the titles of Tables 7.2, 7.3a, 7.3b, 7.4a, 7.4b and 7.5 have been supplemented, and the tables have been moved to a note; e)the first column, second row of Table 7.14 has been changed.
