This document specifies the characteristics of hexagon socket button head screws with metric threads from M3 up to and including M16, with product grade A and with reduced loadability.*This standard specifies the characteristics of hexagon socket button head screws with threads from M3 up to and including M16, with product grade A. With regard to the previous standard, dimensions - in particular with regard to reliability of an unthreaded shank - and the illustration have been extensively clarified. The specifications for the materials have been extended by incorporation of stainless steels. The range of nominal lengths has been enlarged. EN ISO 7380-1:2011 has been prepared by ISO/TC 2 "Fasteners" (secretariat: DIN), in collaboration with CEN/TC 185 "Fasteners" (secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 067-00-02 AA "Verbindungselemente mit metrischem Außengewinde" ("Fasteners with metric external threads") of the Fasteners Standards Committee (FMV).
