This European standard specifies together with EN 13476-2 and EN 13476-3 definitions and General requirements for pipes, fittings and piping system plasticizer-free polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U), polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) with profiled wall which are used for underground, pressure-operated sewer lines and cables. This standard applies to: a) pipes and fittings with profiled wall, which are intended exclusively for underground applications outside a building structure; indicated by marking of products with "U"; b) pipes and fittings with profiled wall, that are intended for buried outside the building structure (application indicator "U"), as well as within a building structure (application indicator "D"); indicated by the marking of products with "UD".
