Information technology - Generic cabling systems -- Part 1: General requirements (english version)

This European Standard specifies: a) the structure and configuration of the primary and secondary subsystems of the cabling of an application neutral communication cable installation to the types of sites and / or areas defined in the other standards of the EN 50173 series; b) the performance requirements of a Transmission path and environmental performance in support of the EN 50173 series of standards (taking into account the requirements set out in the application standards listed in Annex F); c) the power requirements of cabling links to support the EN 50173 series of standards; d) example versions of the primary and secondary subsystems of the wiring in support of the EN 50173 series of standards,e) Component performance requirements to support the EN 50173 series of standards; f) Test procedure to verify compliance with the transmission performance requirements for cabling from the EN 50173 series of standards.
