Tanks for flammable and combustible liquids (FOREIGN STANDARD)

Specifies design and construction requirements for tanks together with certain of their appurtenances, but does not deal with their installation or with road, rail, or marine tanks, or with fuel tanks for vehicles. It does not apply to the storage of materials that are not liquid at normal temperatures and pressures. It provides for six categories of tank, ranging from those in Category 1 of up to 1200 L capacity and for above ground use principally for the storage of oil fuel in domestic premises, to those in Category 6 of any capacity and of a size and type that is usually erected on site. The specification requirements may be applied to tanks constructed of other than steel. Typical acceptable joints are illustrated.
