The American National Standards Institute (ANSI), through its public-private partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Standards Alliance, is organizing a two-day workshop to cover quality management systems standards and certification for Mozambican small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the oil and gas industry. In particular, the workshop will include information about ISO 9001, published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and API Q1 standards, developed by the American Petroleum Institute (API).

The workshop, to be held March 24-25 in Maputo, Mozambique, is designed to help SMEs develop skills, gain certifications, and increase capacity to participate in the growing oil and gas markets in Mozambique. The workshop will cover the basics of quality management systems for SMEs, the value of ISO 9001, how SMEs can prepare for ISO 9001 certification, and related quality management systems for the oil and gas industry, including API Q1.

ANSI is seeking U.S. speakers, agencies, and organizations to participate in this two-day workshop. Ideal speakers will have technical knowledge of the topics noted, and be able to explain their importance to an SME audience. To apply as a speaker, interested stakeholders can submit the following information to [email protected] by Wednesday, February 12, 2020.

  • Name
