IAF Celebrates 25 Years with Video on Accreditation Accomplishments

The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) has released a video to celebrate 25 years since its founding. IAF released the video during the recent Joint IAF and ILAC Annual Meetings, held in Singapore. The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is an accreditation body and a U.S. representative to the IAF.
The IAF is the world association of Conformity Assessment Accreditation Bodies. It spans the areas of management systems, products, services and personnel.
As the video explains, the IAF helps to protect the environment and consumers by facilitating trade, and improving quality through multilateral recognition arrangements. It also promotes wider acceptance of accreditation.
Being recognized by IAF provides further confidence that accreditation bodies conform to global requirements for accreditation bodies (ISO/IEC 17011) and has successfully demonstrated its competence through a rigorous peer evaluation process. To that end, ANSI was recently accepted as a Member of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) Multilateral Recognition Arrangement.
