Materials and articles in contact with foodstuffs - Plastics - Part 3: Test methods for overall migration in evaporable simulants
This document determines procedures for measuring the overall migration of plastic materials and objects made of food for contact with food, in which the test patterns are brought into contact with evaporable food simulants, which are at a temperature of larger or equally 4 ° C and not above the Return fluid temperature. The overall migration from a sample of the plastic is given as the mass loss of non -volatile substances: - per surface unit; or - per kg of the food simulate; Or - each object determines after contact with a food simulate under defined conditions. Depending on the type of materials or form of the objects, contact with the food simulate is either only on a surface (bag, cell, filling) or diving through. This document does not cover the evaluation of the results, which probably requires official requirements.
