Electronic Components Packages

US and international standards for electronic components, capacitors, transducers, surge protectors, LEDs, and resistors find wide application in consumer products, vehicles, medical devices, sensors and controls for industrial use and more. A representative selection of nearly one hundred standards published in recent years covering electronic components are provided here. For even more electronic component standards search by keyword in the field above or browse the offerings of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), two standard developing organizations focused on electronics and their design, manufacture, testing, use, and end-of-life procedures. These packages include many standards related to wireless electronics and electronic components.

BS 9000 Electronic Components Package

BS 9000 Electronic Components Package (Assessed Quality System) (British Standard)

The BS 9000 Electronic Components Assessed Quality System Package specifies the general procedures for the BS 9000 system for the specification, qualification or capability approval, inspection and release of electronic components of assessed quality. The specifications in this package are applicable to lot formation, release procedures, certified test records, approval procedures and conformance testing. The system for the assessed quality of electronic components is based on the national implementation of the CENELEC Electronic Components Committee (System for Europe) and IECQ system. Note: BS 9000-1:1989, BS 9000-5:1989, BS 9000-6:1989 and BS 9000-7:1989 are Historical Documents.

IEEE C63.4 and IEEE C63.10 Wireless Devices and Radio Noise Emissions Package

IEEE C63.4 and IEEE C63.10 Wireless Devices and Radio Noise Emissions Package

IEEE C63.4 and IEEE C63.10 Wireless Devices and Radio Noise Emissions Package provides the procedures for testing wireless devices such as remote control and security unlicensed wireless devices, frequency hopping and direct sequence spread spectrum devices, anti-pilferage devices, cordless telephones, medical unlicensed wireless devices, intrusion detectors, unlicensed wireless devices operating on frequencies below 30 MHz and automatic vehicle identification systems. It also provides the methods for measuring radio frequency signals and noise emissions from low voltage electrical and electronic equipment. The IEEE C63.4 and IEEE C63.10 Wireless Devices and Radio Noise Emissions Package provides the means to test the electronic device and measure the radio frequency of devices that are 9 kHz to 40 GHz. This package includes IEEE/ANSI C63.4-2014 and IEEE C63.10-2013.
