Self-Locking Hex Nuts

These standards from ANSI, ASME, ISO, SAE, and others address the materials, construction, and requirements for hex nuts for a variety of applications. This list addresses self-locking Hex Nuts.

ISO 7995:2002

Aerospace - Nuts, hexagonal, self-locking, with MJ threads, classifications: 1 100 MPa (at ambient temperature)/235 degrees C, 1 100 MPa (at ambient temperature)/315 degrees C and 1 100 MPa (at ambient temperature)/425 degrees C - Dimensions

ISO 7995:2002 specifies the dimensions of hexagonal nuts, with MJ threads and a self-locking feature achieved by forming the upper portion out-of-round, for classifications: 1 100 MPa/235 C, 1 100 MPa/315 C, 1 100 MPa/425 C. ISO 7995:2002 is only applicable for the compilation of aerospace product standards.

ISO 8538:1999

Aerospace - Nuts, hexagonal, self-locking, with counterbore and captive washer, with MJ threads, classifications: 1 100 MPa (at ambient temperature)/235 degrees C, 1 100 MPa (at ambient temperature)/315 degrees C and 1 100 MPa (at ambient temperature)/425 degrees C - Dimensions

This International Standard specifies the dimensions of self-locking hexagonal nuts, with counterbore and captive washer, with MJ threads, of classifications: 1 100 MPa 1) /235 C 2) , 1 100 MPa 1) /315 C2) , 1 100 MPa 1) /425 C 2) . This International Standard is only applicable for the compilation of aerospace product standards.
