This standard covers safety requirements for the design, construction, testing, and validation of automotive lifts of the following types: manually driven, power driven, stationary, and mobile. Lifts that are movable or are designed to tilt the superstructure, or are not "automotive vehicle service lifts" are outside the scope of this standard.
