Radiological procedures are an invaluable medical diagnostic and treatment tool and, if proper safety procedures are followed, create only minimal risks to both the patient and healthcare personnel. These recommended practices provide guidance for the protection of patients and personnel from unsafe levels of radiation during surgical and other invasive procedures which require the use of ionizing radiation.
