This test method covers the measurement of the static coefficient of friction of floor surfaces for the James Machine. The apparatus is not suitable for use on wet, rough, or corrugated surfaces. The apparatus is suitable for laboratory testing. 1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems, if any, associated with its use.
