Standard Test Method for Analysis of Nickel Alloys by Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry

1.1 This test method covers analysis of nickel and nickel-base alloys by flame atomic absorption spectrometric analysis for the following elements:

ElementConcentration Range, % Section
Aluminum0.2 to 4.012
Chromium0.01 to 4.013
Cobalt 0.01 to 4.014
Copper 0.01 to 4.015
Iron 0.1 to 4.016
Manganese0.1 to 4.017
Silicon 0.2 to 1.018
Vanadium0.05 to 1.019

1.2 The concentration range of these elements can be expanded by the use of appropriate standards.
