Commodity Specification for Carbon Dioxide - 7th Edition
This publication describes: specification requirement (limiting characteristics for gaseous, liquid, and solid carbon dioxide), also known as quality verification levels (QVLs); typical uses for each QVL; sampling methodologies used to collect samples for analysis; and analytical test methods that may be used to test the various limiting characteristics with references to external compendia, standards, and guidelines as applicable. Furthermore, this publication describes various feed gas sources used for the production of carbon dioxide, identifying the potential trace level impurities that can be found in each of the identified feed gas sources. This publication does not recommend or establish the end usage designation for specific types or grades of products. This publication also does not address specific certifications a customer may require, e.g., Kosher, NSF Standard 60, etc. Users requiring this kind of information should contact their gas suppliers.
