Standard for Tube Trailer Supply Systems at Customer Sites
This standard specifies the minimum requirements for high-pressure tube trailers used to store and supply compressed gases at customer locations. It includes guidelines for the siting, equipment selection, installation, startup, maintenance, and removal of tube trailer supply systems. This standard applies to tube trailers used as storage vessels at customer locations but excludes those used solely for gas delivery to permanent storage systems and mobile acetylene trailers. It covers the use of tube trailers for transporting and supplying nonliquefied compressed gases at pressures typically ranging from 2000 psi to 3500 psi, with some capable of up to 10,000 psi. This standard addresses both single and multi-trailer installations and includes specific requirements based on the type of gas stored, such as additional safety measures for flammable gases. Compliance with DOT and TC regulations is required, and this standard does not apply to medical gas supply systems. For mobile acetylene trailer systems see CGA G-1.6, Standard for Mobile Acetylene Trailer Systems. For medical use, refer to CGA M-1, Standard for Medical Gas Supply Systems at Health Care Facilities (an American National Standard)
