Intended Use
C22.2 No. 47 applies to single-phase and polyphase dry-type transformers that supply energy to circuits within commercial, industrial, institutional installations and other large buildings. These transformers are intended to be installed and used in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. Various votage classes of transformers are covered up to 46 kV.his Standard does not apply to specialty transformers, transformers for luminous-tube signs, oil or gas burner ignition, cold-cathode interior lighting, or electronic or liquid-filled designs.This Standard applies to single-phase and polyphase transformers of the dry type for supplying energy to power, heating, and lighting circuits and designed to be installed and used in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical C ode, Part I.This Standard applies to multiwinding and autotransformers rated 46 kV and less.This Standard applies to transformers for use in nonhazardous indoor and outdoor locations.This Standard does not apply to specialty transformers, transformers for luminous-tube signs, oil or gas burner ignition, cold-cathode interior lighting, or electronic or liquid-filled designs.
