Furniture surfaces - Part 1: Behaviour at chemical influence

This standard applies to information not specified in DIN EN 12720 on the method of assessment of furniture surfaces subjected to chemical influence and relates to the solid surfaces of all finished furniture regardless of the material used, except for finishes on leather and fabrics.*This standard applies to information not contained in DIN EN 12720 regarding the assessment methods of furniture surfaces against chemical stresses and regarding rigid surfaces of surface-treated furniture independent of materials used, except for surfaces made of leather or textiles. Furthermore, this standard specifies the testing with the mentioned paste-like and solid test mediums which usually appear during stress imposed by practical use of furniture. If necessary, additional test mediums can be specified between the contracting parties. This standard serves theunified description of the behaviour of furniture surfaces during chemical stresses given in product standards or during an informative product marking.
